Physical Therapist

I began practicing in outpatient orthopedics in 2014, and for several years I worked as a travel physical therapist in various cities around the country.  The traveling experience allowed me to practice in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, industrial rehab, aquatic therapy, neuro rehab, and home health.  The skills I acquired during my traveling experience provide me with the tools I utilize daily in the outpatient setting.  While working in downtown Seattle,  I served as the Clinic Director of Core Physical Therapy.

I fell in love with the field of physical therapy at the age of 12, in south Louisiana, where I was born and raised. Physical therapists treated my multiple sports injuries during my high school career, and eventually I began working as a physical therapy aide.  Through college and graduate school, I interned under a CranioSacral therapist specializing in chronic pain  and at the University of Illinois working with athletes with disabilities.  I currently hold a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, which I received in 2011 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, which I received in 2014.  I continue my education focusing primarily on manual mobilization and myofascial release techniques. I am passionate about manual therapy, movement training, patient education, and how those methods empower patients to live fuller lives.

As a recent transplant to the Bay Area, I have been thoroughly enjoying all the outdoor activities that come with living in such a beautiful place. When I'm not working, I enjoy camping, hiking with my puppy, wine tasting, and exploring the food scene.
